What Is Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA)

How it is Calculated

The Quickride Algorithm that automatically assigns and orders rides also automatically calculates and shows an estimated time of arrival (ETA) for each customer/ ride. A customer’s/ ride’s ETA updates in real-time when traffic conditions, the volume of rides assigned, and/or ride order changes.

Pick-Up versus Drop-off ETA

The first ETA is a pick-up ETA, or the estimated time the driver will arrive at a customer’s pickup location. When the driver marks the customer on the shuttle, the ETA changes to a drop-off ETA, or the estimated time the driver will arrive at the customer’s drop-off location.

How and Where ETA is Shown

Command Center

Command Center users see ETA by clicking on the customer’s name in the Ride List. The ETA appears at the top of the ride flyout, marked Pickup or Dropoff depending on which ETA it is.

Driver App

Driver App users see ETA on the Ride List towards the bottom of the customer’s ride listing. The Pickup ETA displays first. When the driver marks the customer on the shuttle, the ETA changes to the Drop-off ETA.

Passenger App

Passenger App users see the Pickup ETA or an ETA message below the map. Passenger App users only see Pickup ETA. When the driver marks the customer on the shuttle in the Driver App, the Passenger App view changes to map-only.
