In the Command Center, this is where passenger ride request gets created. There are three ways to create a ride, depending on what the customer needs.

Create a Ride - Now

The Now ride the default option when creating a ride that is because most of the request needs to happen real-time. Now rides get immediately assigned to a Shuttle Driver.

Create a Ride - Future

The Future ride is for customers wanting to get picked up at a specific time or day. The future ride is for planning rides hours or days in advance. Having this option gives the dealership the ability to schedule ahead future pickups. The differences between completing a form for a Now ride versus a Future ride are the ride dates and ride times. When using this option, make sure to add a buffer to the time as the ride will be assigned to a Driver the exact time the ride is needed. Therefore, if the Driver still needs to drive to the customer's location, it is best to add a buffer of 15 to 30 mins to the actual pick-up time to ensure that the Driver never misses the schedule.

Create a Ride - Set By Passenger

The Set by Passenger option is for when the customer wants to be able to schedule a ride on their own or when they are ready to return to the dealership. With this option, the Service Advisor doesn't need to create a ride request in the command center. Once the passenger schedules a pick-up this will be immediately added in the ride list and automatically get assigned to a Shuttle Driver.

Passenger Name -  put in the Customer or Passenger First for identification as this information will also get displayed in the driver app. Also, consider your local state privacy laws when putting in customers' first and last name.

Phone Number -  correct phone number plus area code should be put in the system to ensure that in case they need to get in touch with each another that they will be able to reach the right person. Customer's phone number is what we also use to send automated messages to inform the customer about ride status.

Passenger Count - This is where Service Advisors can input the number of passengers for that specific ride.

Ride Date (Only for Future Rides) - This is the date the customer wants to get picked up they can choose to set it for the current date or a future date.

Ride Time (Only for Future Rides) - This is the time the customer wants to get picked up.

Pick-up - This is where the passenger will be picked up from, if the pick-up point is the dealership, click the Station button and the dealers' address will auto-populate. For other addresses, when you start typing the address, it will be on a red font. It is essential that the address that you select comes from the auto-populated option from a drop-down list.

Drop-off - This is the address where the passenger will be dropped off. Just begin typing the address and select from the auto-populated list the correct address. Once completed the miles/distance from the dealership will be automatically computed and shown in the command center.

Notes - this provides an option to include a short description of the customer/passenger for easy identification. It can also include other passenger information, the number of passengers, or additional address information like landmarks. Please note that information in the notes section might be visible in the passenger app as well.

Reference Number - this enables the Dealers to use their internal reference number for tracking & documentation.

Under Warranty - this helps Dealers mark customer's shuttle request if covered by warranty or not for reimbursement purposes.
